Competences
The German Network "Planning and Rehabilitation of communal and industrial water supply and wastewater disposal systems in India" consists of 5 foundation partners:

- University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich (Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management)
- Stuttgart University (Institute for Sanitary Engineering, Water Quality and Solid Waste Management)
- BAYIND (service and networking platform for universities and companies)

In a new project that is partly founded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the network will be extended with Indian R&D partners. The aim of the project and of the network is to form Indian-German cooperation teams bringing forward R&D or industrial projects concerning water and wastewater systems.
Therefore a regularly released newsletter will be established to inform all interested teams. It will help to point out the potential of the German and Indian network partners and offer an easy way to get in contact.
Furthermore workshops will be accomplished in India to present the fields of work and the experience of the German project partners as well as of the potential Indian partners. Further on the situation regarding the challenges for Indian-German teams will be discussed. This comprises investigations of the needs concerning water and wastewater management in India, as well as of the general conditions relating to projects to be carried out in the mentioned fields.
A conference will be organized to present the potential of the German and Indian R&D institutes and companies, as well as to strengthen the cooperation and to inform and integrate more promising partners, e.g. authorities, system operators or companies.
As regards participation in the Indian-German network and in the workshops or the conference, interested R&D institutes and universities as well as authorities, system operators and companies are invited to get in contact with the network.
